How can the different forms for the Clients and the Staff members can be customized?

If one wishes to add different fields for the helpdesk then this can be easily done from the custom fields. The added custom fields appear for different forms of Vision Helpdesk.
Custom fields are used in order to have additional details for the forms. The different forms those are available:

User registration: The user registration form appears when the user registers to the helpdesk from the client portal.

User ticket creation: The user ticket creation form appears when the user submits a ticket from the client portal.

Staff ticket creation: The staff ticket creation form appears when the staff creates a ticket from the manage portal.

Feedback: The feedback form appears in the client portal when the client gives the feedback from the client portal.

Available custom user fields:

The following types of custom user fields can be created:

Textbox
Textarea
Password
Checkbox
Radio button
Select box
Multiple select box
Date Time

Quick steps for customizing different forms:

The following steps are to be followed in order to add different custom fields for different forms-

  • Log in to the Vision Helpdesk account as an administrator.
  • Go to the Settings >> Customization Section >> Custom field group.
  • Custom field group allows grouping the custom fields and applying this group to various forms in Vision Helpdesk.
  • The particular Group type can be selected from the drop down and there can be different department access given to each of the custom field group. Add the particular custom field group using the Add option.
  • Now go to Settings >> Customization Section >> Custom Field.
  • The particular custom field group for which the fields are to be added can be selected from the drop down list.
  • Click on any of the field to open the field editor.
  • Fill in all the field details for the custom fields that are selected.
  • Click on the Add button to save these changes for the forms.
After you are done, you can check these added custom fields for different forms and know how these forms have come up.
