It will contain all relevant information about the configuration item (CI) including CI location, status and also its inter connectivity with other configuration items.

Mass Action on Assets:

It is possible to select either of the assets or more than one with the help of checklist and to perform the desired action on them. It can be deleted from the listing from the mass action option.

Filter List:

Filter List is used to provide more efficient and effective searches. When you enter filter term in search box and when filter is applied then the particular list appears according to the filter that is applied.

Apply Filter:

When all the details regarding the filter are filled then filter can be applied for the particular list of assets. Depending upon the terms that are filled for the filter to be applied the list appears for the filters.

Export and Import:

It is possible to export and import the assets from the Export and Import option that is present towards the top where all the assets are listed.

Note: While importing the assets please note that it should be in the format of CSV and the sequence for it should be Name, Impact, Description, Manage by, Used by and Assigned on.

Add CI:

Name:

The name of the CI should be specified here.

Department:

The department to which the CI should belong is to be selected from the drop down.

CI type:

The CI type to which the CI should belong is to be selected from the drop down.

Impact:

The impact for the particular CI is to be selected from the drop down.

Description:

A short description of the CI is to be specified here.

Properties:

Depending upon the CI type that is selected the properties will be displayed accordingly for it.

If CI type is selected as Hardware:

Product:

The particular product is to be selected from the drop down.

Warranty:

The warranty for the particular product is to be entered here.

Acquisition date:

The acquisition date for the product is to be specified here.

Warranty expire date:

The expire date of the warranty is to be specified here.

Asset state:

The asset state is to be selected from the drop down.

Asset tag:

The tag for the particular asset can be added from here.

Serial number:

The serial number for the particular hardware can be added from here.

Last audit date:

The last audit date should be specified here.

If CI type is selected as Software:

Product:

The particular product is to be selected from the drop down.

Warranty:

The warranty for the particular product is to be specified here.

Installation date:

The date of installation of the product is to be specified here.

License expiry date:

The date of expiry of the license is to be specified here.

License type:

The type of license is to be selected from the drop down.

Cost:

The cost of the product is to be specified here.

License key:

The license key for the product is to be entered here.

Installation path:

The installation path of the product is to be entered here.

Last audit date:

The last audit date of the product is to be specified here.

CI Custom Fields:

The custom fields that are added for the CI type will be listed here.

Assignment:

Managed by:

The staff member who will manage the particular asset will be specified here.

Used by:

The email address of the client by whom the asset will be used will be specified here.

Location:

The particular location of the asset is to be selected from the drop down.

Assigned on:

The date when it was assigned is to be specified here.

Attach file:

A file can be attached with the asset using this option.

Note: If the CI type is selected as Hardware then it will also contain Depreciation details:

Cost:

The cost of the asset is to be specified here.

Salvage:

The salvage value of the asset is to be specified here.

Depreciation type:

The type of depreciation is to be selected from the drop down.

Update Assets:

It is possible to edit or update a particular asset by selecting it from the listing. The changes can be made and can be updated from the Update option present at the bottom.

Towards the top it will display the details of the particular asset. Towards the bottom it will consist of various tabs for which the additional detail of the asset is displayed.

Relationships:

One asset can be attached to various other assets from the Attach option that is present at the top. The relationship along with the asset to which it is attached will be displayed here.

Edit Asset:

The particular asset can be edited and updated from this option.

Contract:

Contracts that are attached to the particular asset will be displayed here.

Ticket:

Tickets that are attached to the particular asset will be displayed here.

Changes:

Changes that are attached to the particular asset will be displayed here.

Problems:

Problems that are attached to the particular asset will be displayed here.
