Not able to change Vision Helpdesk logo on Windows platform

If you have installed Vision Helpdesk on Windows server and trying to modify logo image for customer portal or manage portal - You might encounter logo image shows blank.

The logo image that you have upload from Settings >> Client Portal or Settings >> Manage Portal -- It will be converted to a file with extension .tmp to avatar folder under Vision Helpdesk installation files on your server. By default your server may not have .tmp mime type added so that may cause no logo displayed or blank image.

Below are steps to add Mime type

  1. Open IIS Manager and navigate to the level you want to manage.
  2. In Features View, double-click MIME Types.
  3. In the Actions pane, click Add.
  4. In the Add MIME Type dialog box, type a file name extension in the File name extension text box. (tmp in our case)
  5. Type a MIME type in the MIME type text box (application/octet-stream in our case)
  6. Click OK.
