Active Directory: Active Directory (AD) is a directory service implemented by Microsoft for Windows domain networks. It is included in Windows Server operating systems. An AD domain controller authenticates and authorizes all users and computers in a Windows domain type network — assigning and enforcing security policies for all computers and installing or updating software.

Using Single login the users can login to the client portal using Active Directory credentials.

Follow the following steps:

Log-in to Vision Helpdesk Manage Portal,

Settings >> Single login >> Active directory

Domain:

The domain for which Active directory setting is to be done is to be selected from the drop down.

Host name:

The scripts database hostname should be specified here.

Port:

The port for Active directory is to be specified here.

Base DN:

Base DN describes where to load the users and groups. The Base DN is to be specified here.

RDN:

RDN (Relative Distinguished name) for Active Directory is to be specified here.

Password:

The password for Active Directory is to be specified here.

Status:

The status can be either enabled or disabled from here.

The changes can be saved by the Save option and can be deleted by the Delete option.

The clients will be able to login to the client portal using Active Directory credentials.
