Product status

Product status can be added for various products from:

Settings >> ITIL Section >> Product status

Note: By default there are three product status that are available

  • In production: In production will indicate that the product is still under production.
  • In pipeline: In pipeline will indicate that the product is still under pipeline
  • Retired: Retired will indicate that the product has retired and no longer can be used.
In production product status cannot be deleted and its status cannot be changed.

Mass Action on Product status:

It is possible to select either of the product status or more than one product status with the help of checklist and perform desired action on them. The product status can be either enabled or disabled.

Any Product status can be deleted by the Delete option except In production status.

Filter list:

Filter list is used to provide more efficient and effective searches. When you enter the filter terms in the search box and when filter is applied then the particular list appears according to the filter that is applied.

Apply filter:

When all the details regarding the filter are filled then the filter can be applied for the particular list of product status. Depending upon the terms that are filled for the filter to be applied the list appears for the filters.

Add Product status:

Additional product status can be added using the Add option. When you click on Add you will have the following fields:

Name:

The name for the product status is to be specified here.

Description:

A short description of the product status is to be specified here.

Display order:

If there are many product status that are available then sorting can be done from Display order. Product statuses get sorted as per the display order for the product status specified.

Department access:

It consists of departments that will have access to particular product status. More than one department can be selected at a time. It is also possible to select all the departments using All Departments option

Language translation for product status:

If the language in the manage portal is been translated into some other language and one wishes to translate the product status name in that language then the translation name for product status can be added from here.

Status:

The status for the product status can be enabled and disabled from here. If the status is disabled then the particular product status cannot be used by the system.

Update Product status:

It is possible to edit or update a particular product status by selecting it from the listing. The changes can be made and it can be updated from the Update option present at the bottom.
